Turkish top flight team, Besiktas have shown a big interest in the purchase of Nigerian midfielder, Mikel Agu who is on loan at Vitória de Setúbal from FC Porto, understands.

The Istanbul based club are in talks with Mikel’s parent club, FC Porto, and it is understandable that Besiktas are ready to table around 2.5 million Euros for the 25 years old midfielder who featured in the Turkish Super Lig in a loan spell with Bursaspor.

The interest in the amazing Nigerian midfielder has come as no surprise following his calm and collected exhibition this term in Portugal.

Mikel Agu has produced impressive showings in the midfield this term for Vitória de Setúbal, he has 16 matches in his 17 total played for the club contributing to the team’s relentless attitude of not falling into the relegation zone.

The player joined FC Porto in 2012 and still has an existing two years left on his contract with the Portuguese side. He also has 7 international caps to his name.
