Nigerian international, Stephen Odey continued his impressive performance for Swiss club, FC Zürich as he scored his 15th goal of the season to lift FC Zurich to a comfortable 3-0 win at home to FC Thun, reports.

With a spot in next season’s Europa League the only realistic target for Odey and his teammates, the former MFM forward returned to the starting XI having missed his side’s weekend game away at Xamas to earn his 25th league start of the campaign.

After a goalless half an hour, the hosts turned the heat on with an inspirational five minutes display which left the defense of FC Thun in huge shock.

First, Benjamin Kololli made it 1-0 from the penalty spot on the 31st minute before Odey made it 2-0 five minutes later and Assan Cassey completed the scoring 50 seconds later as the hosts stunned the visitors in impressive fashion.

The win sees Zurich momentarily move up to 4th on the table with 43 points, level on point with FC Thun which missed the chance to cement their Europa League status with two league games to go in the season.
