Ahead of the Flying Eagles’ second group game at the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland, Chinonso Emeka has said the team is poised to beat the USA on Monday, reports.

The Brooke House FC Academy forward who spoke from the team’s base in Bielsko Biala, further hailed the impact of the coaches after they started with a convincing 4-0 bashing of Qatar on Friday.

“We played very well in our first game. I was quite happy even though I was on the bench all through. Honestly speaking, the game went well, kudos to our coach he deserves the victory and it was a nice start for us and I pray as time goes on in this tournament, we will play better and yield a good result.

“We have a common bond binding us which is to achieve a wonderful result here,  the togetherness and love between us show that together we can achieve our unified purpose, which I believe we can go far in this tournament because the team spirit is on a very high tempo,” the 17-year-old said.
