The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will face either Senegal or Italy in the next round of the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland after qualifying as one of the third best-placed team, reports.

Despite a blistering start to the competition following a 4-0 bashing of Qatar, the Paul Aigbogun led boys lost 2-0 to the USA in their second game before playing a 1-1 draw with leaders Ukraine last night to finish third in Group D.

The 2005 losing finalists will now hope to up their game going forward if they’re to finish well in the competition.

Host nation Poland and Nigeria have already picked up two of the four best-placed slots with Ecuador, South Korea and Panama fighting for the remaining two.
