Niger Tornadoes of FC combative midfielder, Ayooluwa Adetola has assured fans of the Minna-based club that the squad is battle-ready, and will leave nothing to chance to ensure they emerge victorious in the forthcoming  Aiteo Cup final against Kano Pillars FC, reports.
Adetola declared this in a brief chat with shortly after the Ikon Allah boys played out a goalless draw with Capital City FC, in a tune-up game at the Area 3 Sports Complex, Abuja, before moving to Kaduna for the grand finale.
He said: “We are assuring our fans that we are ready to battle it out with Kano Pillars in the final, and we are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that victory is ours,” Adetola said.
The former Mighty Jets FC of Jos midfielder went further to note that having being relegated from the top flight league, there is no better way to appease the fans than lifting the coveted trophy, adding that they (the fans) have been there for the team all year round.
“The best way we can appease our fans for not maintaining our premier league status is to win the Aiteo Cup.
“They have given us great support through the season. While the team was going down in the league, they stood by us, so we are duty-bound to give them something to cheer,” he concluded.
The final of the 2019 Aiteo Cup is now scheduled to take place on the 28th July 2019, at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
