*Wants to see out Eagles contract

Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr has doused speculations linking him with a move to Morocco after leading his young Nigerian squad to bronze at the just concluded AFCON in Egypt, can authoritatively confirm.

The 66-year-old, who still has one year left on his current deal with Nigeria, however, revealed extensively that he has had no offer from any country and would love to continue the project he has with the Nigeria Football Federation.

“I love the project here in Nigeria. I have been with the players for three years now and I believe we are beginning to form a good relationship which has begun to show even on the field of play.

“I came here with a work plan and I want to see it out. I still have a contract with the national team so for now I remain the coach of the Super Eagles,” Rohr said.

A prime target for the Atlas of Morocco following their disastrous outing at the 2019 AFCON, the former Gabon Coach took charge of the Eagles in 2016, qualifying the country to the World Cup in Russia before also helping the Eagles to a record 8th bronze medal triumph at the AFCON after a six-year absence from the competition.
