Nigeria international Anderson Esiti has ended his three-year stay in Belgium after putting pen to paper on a four-year deal with Greek champions PAOK which will see him team up with fellow Nigerian Chuba Akpom ahead of the new season, reports.

The 25-year-old who has been capped by Nigeria twice in the past, most recently featuring in Nigeria’s 2-1 win over Zambia during qualifications for last year’s FIFA World Cup was however overlooked during the qualifiers.

Esiti who was close to agreeing on a deal with Spanish side Levante during the winter joined KAA Gent from Portuguese side Estoril in 2016 for a fee of around €1.5 million going on to make well over 90 appearances across all competitions.

The midfielder had his first training with the rest of his teammates and told the club’s media that he was at POAK to give his best as he wants to continue developing in his career.

His first immediate task will be to help the club get past Dutch side Ajax in the Champions League qualifiers.
