Flying Eagles winger Success Makanjuola has declared that he wants to continue with his exploits at the last FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland, reports.

Makanjuola was one of the few shining lights of the Paul Aigbogun tutored side at the tournament despite the not too impressive performance of the whole team that saw them crash out in the second round of the competition.

He told from the camp of the Flying Eagles who are preparing for the All African Games that he wants to continue working hard to maintain his standard and even do better.

“I want to continue from where I stopped at the last World Cup. We did all we could at that tournament but we didn’t go past the second round and it was a shame but I have made up my mind that I must maintain and even improve on my play because this is another chance to prove my doubters wrong,” he posited.

The Water FC of Abuja player further expressed confidence in the ability of the team ahead of the All Africa Games which has five players that were dropped from the world cup squad to impress.

“I know this team we have now, they are capable of making Nigerians proud. Even the last team, we just lacked one or two things and I think the coaches have figured it out and now they have put it into place. I know this team, we are going to make Nigerians proud,” Makanjuola concluded.

The Flying Eagles will take this as a second chance to repair their battered image following a disappointing World Cup.
