Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi will move to rival English Premier League club Everton if both clubs agree in a deal, AOIFootball.com understands.
Everton, which made a surprise bid for the Arsenal youth prodigy on Wednesday morning only for 30 million pounds, may return with an improved bid before the close of the transfer window on midnight of Thursday in the UK.
The Toffees have had so much disappointment in the transfer market with deals for Crystal Palace’s Wilfred Zaha and loan offer for Manchester United defender Chris Smalling turned down.
Iwobi is seen as a proper substitution for Zaha since the deal did not see the light of day for the Ivorien as he can play from the wings apart from the midfield.
As for Iwobi, the 23- year-old is thought to want to fight for a place in a star-studded Gunners forward line but reports in England also indicate he may welcome the deal if both clubs come to an agreement.
