Super Eagles left-back, Jamilu Collins has expressed his delight after helping his Bundesliga club SC Paderborn to qualify to the next round of the German FA Cup otherwise called the DFB Pokal, defeating Regionalliga side Rodinghausen 2-4 via penalties after game tied at 3-3, reports.

Collins, 25, came off from the bench in the 111th minute of extra time to replace Gerrit Holtmann with the game tied 3-3 after regulation time.

With the game ending in a deadlock, it was to be decided via penalties and Collins was one of those picked to play for Paderborn. The Nigerian scored and helped his side to win 2-4 to sail to the next round of the competition.

“I’m happy we have started our season with an important win. We will go on to motivate ourselves with these with plenty more tough games ahead” he stated.

Paderborn’s next game will be on Saturday as the Bundesliga season kicks off. They have a date with top side, Bayer Leverkusen.
