Super Eagles defender, Semi Ajayi continued his impressive start to life at The Hawthorns as he helped Championship side West Bromwich Albion maintain their unbeaten run at home against Reading, reports.

The 25-year-old summer acquisition from Rotherham United started his 4th consecutive game, partnering with Kyle Bartley as the Slaven Bilić side were hoping to move top of the table.

Both teams, however, failed to shake the net in the first 45 minutes before Liverpool loanee and one time Golden Eaglets trainee Ovie Ejaria silenced the home crowd when he put Reading ahead after 71 minutes.

The 21-year-old was however turned villain two minutes from time as his carless play inside the box gave the hosts a penalty with Danish forward Kenneth Zohore stepping up to convert as the match ended 1-1.

Ajayi, who featured for the entire match duration, had a game rating of 6.6, made 3 clearances, 1 interception and also blocked one goal-bound effort as West Brom stay sixth on the log with 8 points from their opening four league games.
