Super Eagles Captain, Ahmed Musa began the 2019/2020 Saudi Arabia Professional League season on a good note as he helped set up Al-Nassr’s first goal of the campaign in their 2-0 win over newly promoted Damac FC, reports.

The former Leicester City of England forward started just his first competitive game since last month’s AFCON featuring a strong attacking trio which also included Moroccan star Nordin Amrabat and Brazilian midfielder Giuliano.

After a cagey opening 20 minutes, the hosts began to find their rhythm and were deservedly ahead on the 24th minute when Musa combined with Amrabat before setting up Giuliano to head home the opener for Al-Nassr.

Last season’s top scorer, Abderazak Hamdallah then got into the act just before the half time whistle to double his side’s lead after connecting to a pass from fellow Moroccan Amrabat to put Al-Nassr 2-0 up.

The goals were however enough to seal all 3 points, with Musa finishing the game with an impressive game rating of 8.0, completing 5 of his 7 dribbles and also completing 69% of his attempted passes.
