Nigerian international, Olanrewaju Kayode opened his goals account for the season in grand style as he scored twice to help newly promoted Gazisehir thump fellow newcomers, Genclerbirligi Ankara 4-1, AOIFootball.com reports.
The 26-year-old, who had a nightmarish debut last weekend away at Fenerbahce, kept his place in the starting XI for his first competitive appearance at the Gaziantep Stadium.
The visitors started the match on the front foot but were reduced to 10 men after just 27 minutes when Ahmet Oguz was sent off for a professional foul before the Nigerian made the numerical advantage count when he put his side ahead in the 32nd minute.
Kayode was again involved five minutes later when a rash challenge from Pierre-Yves Polomat brought down the Nigerian with the VAR seeing enough to award the hosts a penalty and then reduced the visitors to 9 men.
The forward then stepped up and converted the spot-kick beyond the goalkeeper as they went into the break with a healthy 2-0 lead.
Güray Vural then made it 3-0 on the 56th minute before the visitors pulled one back nine minutes after the hour mark with Oguz Ceylan then ensuring the three-goal margin remained as he made it 4-1 with 18 minutes left.
Kayode was on for the entire match duration and narrowly missed out on the man of the match award but earned a game rating of 8.0 with the host moving up to 10th on the log after two round of matches.
