Dream Team VII winger, Emmanuel Dennis was the hero for Belgian side Club Brugge as they reached the group stages of the UEFA Champions League after defeating Lask Linz 2-1 at home, reports.

Having won the first leg 1-0 away in Austria,  Brugge employed a more conservative approach with David Okereke leading the line and Pacey Tau and Emmanuel Dennis dropped to the bench.

After a quiet first half, the hosts took the lead on 70 minutes when Hand Vanaken put them ahead before the visitors equalized from the spot four minutes later to stay just one goal away from progressing.

Dennis then replaced fellow countryman David Okereke on 88 minute before the winger made an instant impact 40 seconds later as he finished off a Percy Tau effort to seal a 3-1 aggregate win for the host.

Similarly, at the Eden Arena in Prague, Nigerian international Peter Oladeji Olayinka was on for the entire match duration as Slavia Praha progressed to the group stages of the Champions League following a 1-0 win over CFR Cluj.

A second-half strike from left-back Jan Boril ensured the hosts completed a double over their Romanian counterparts as they progressed 2-0 on aggregate to enter into Thursday’s draw.
