European giants, Ukraine have sent a strong signal to the Super Eagles ahead of their first ever meeting on Tuesday after trashing Lithuania 3-0 to go eight points clear in Group B of the Euro 2020 qualifiers, reports.

Unbeaten in their last five matches, the visitors fielded a strong lineup which included Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko and West Ham Andriy Yarmolenko leading the attack.

Ranked 105 places above their hosts, the visitors showed superiority and deservedly took the lead on the 7th minute via the boots of Zinchenko before Marlos and Atlanta Ruslan Malinovskyi completed the win for the Andriy Shevchenko lead boys.

Ukraine will now turn their attention to Tuesday’s friendly against Nigeria as they hope to stretch their unbeaten run to 7 games, with their last defeat coming in a 4-1 thrashing by Slovakia in November 2018.
