The group stages of the 2019/2020 Champions League will officially begin Tuesday night across different centres in Europe with the trio of Victor Osimhen, Paul Onuachu and Peter Olayinka expected to lead the lines for their respective clubs, reports. 


There will also be Nigerian interest in the heart of London when 2012 champions Chelsea begin their campaign at home to Valencia with the duo of Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham also set to make their European bow. 


Victor Osimhen: Nigeria’s hottest property in Europe, will lineup for the first time when Lille travel to the Johan Cruff Arena in Amsterdam on Tuesday night hoping to shock last season’s semifinalists Ajax in front of their own fans. 


The 20-year-old has had an electrifying start to life in France having scored five goals in his opening five league games. 


Paul Onuachu: The AFCON 2019 bronze medalist his expected to lead the line for Belgium’s KRC Genk when they travel to the Red Bull Arena in Salzburg, Austria hoping to begin their campaign on a winning note against RB Salzburg. 


Onuachu will not be the only Eagle on parade as former MFM and Dream Team VII forward Stephen Odey could also make the match day squad for the visitors. 


Peter Olayinka: Nigerian forward and his Slavia Praha side will be the guest of 2010 champions Inter Milan when both sides faceoff at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan. 


The 23-year-old has been impressive for the Czech side this campaign and will fancy his maiden Champions League goal against a resolute defence led by Dutch centre-back Stefan De Vrij.
