Matt Phillips then made it 1-1 three minutes later before Karlan Grant restored the lead for Huddersfield as they went into the break 2-1 up.

The hosts then turned up the tempo in the second half and deservedly got level when Darnell Furlong made it 2-2 on 70 minutes with Matt Phillips putting West Brom ahead for the first time four minutes later with a cool finish.

Ajayi then ensured the point was secured when he made it 4-2 on the 89th minute to extend their unbeaten league run to eight games and move within just one point of league leaders Leeds.
