Nigerian youngster, Chidera Ejuke was the hero for Dutch side Heerenveen as he scored his second goal of the season to help them to a 1-1 draw at home to FC Utrecht, reports.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder started his sixth league game of the campaign as the hosts went in search of their first league win in six outings.

But it was Utrecht who opened the scoring in the 18th minute when Gyrano Kerk put them ahead after neat work down the flank from teammate Leon Guwara.

Ejuke however restored parity for his side on the half-hour mark as he kept his composure to fire home inside the box finishing off a fantastic cross from winger Mitchel Van Bergen.

Despite making a plethora of changes in the second half, both teams, however, failed to find the winner as Heerenveen dropped down to 12th on the log with 7 points from their opening 7 matches.

The Nigerian was however named the man of the match after he came off with a game rating of 8.0, completing 87% of his passes, winning 9 duels and also completing 100% of his dribbles in the match.
