Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen was at his best for Lille as he provided the assist in their 1-1 draw away at Stade Rennais, reports.

Osimhen started his5th league game of the campaign as the visitors strived to earn their first point away from home after losing their previous two matches away from home.

But despite a dominant first 45 minutes which saw Lille create more chances than the hosts, the goals just did not come as both teams went into the break goalless.

With just 40 seconds into the second half, the visitors took the lead when the impressive Osimhen showed mental strength to rob Jeremy Gelin of the ball near the center of the pitch before setting up midfielder Jonathan Ikone who tapped home from close range.

French forward Adrien Hunou then equalized for the hosts eight minutes after the hour mark as both teams settled for a share of the spoils.

The Nigerian forward was deservedly named the man of the match with a game rating of 7.9. He has now been directly involved in 75% of Lille’s goals this season (5 goals, 1 assist).
