Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has been yet again named in the French Ligue One Team of the Week for the third time this season following his man of the match performance in Lille’s 1-1 draw away at Stade Rennais, AOIFootball.com reports.
The 20-year-old, who helped set up his side’s only goal in the clash, was once again influential in the front line for the visitors as they earned their first point on the road following back to back losses on their two away trips this season.
The Nigerian earned a game rating of 7.9, as he showed a whole new level of his game, making four clearances in the match, winning 12 duels and also making one interception and tackle.
Osimhen was joined on the whoscored.com team of the week by PSG duo of Neymar and Thiago Silva after their impressive performances against Lyon with the likes of Thomas Mangani and Sehrou Guirassy also making the XI.
His performance so far this season has however drawn praises from Lille head coach Christophe Galtier who believes the Nigerian can only get better after as the season goes by.
