Super Eagles defender, Ola Aina has hailed his side’s fantastic comeback win over giants AC Milan after Torino recovered from a goal down to win 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpic, AOIFootball.com reports.
The Nigerian started his fourth league game of the campaign, playing in his now familiar left full-back position with the hosts targeting their third win of the season.
But their efforts were scuffled when the visitors took the lead on the 18th minute after Lorenzo De Silvestri fouled Rafeal Leao in the box with Krzysztof Piatek stepping up to give AC Milan a 1-0 lead.
Down but not out, the Turin based side turned the tie in their favour in the second half when striker Andrea Bellotti equalized off an assist from Tomas Rincon in the 72nd minute before netting the winner four minutes later to condemn the AC Milan to their third league loss of the campaign.
“Great fight from the team,” Aina posted after the match.
The Eagles defender, who was recently called up for next month’s friendly against Brazil, had a decent game rating of 6.9, completing 80% of his passes, winning 5 duels and also completing all 100% of his dribbles.
