Nigerian forward, Chidera Ejuke was on target for the second successive week to help Heerenven to a comprehensive 3-0 win away at VVV Venlo, reports.

The 21-year-old summer arrival from Norway started his 7th league game of the campaign with the hosts gunning for just their second win of the campaign.

He however wasted no time to register his name on the scorers’ sheet when he put the visitors ahead on the eight minute before replicating the same performance five minutes later to put Heerenven 2-0 up.

The hosts then missed the chance to half the deficit after 25 minutes when Haji Wright saw his penalty saved with Heerenveen going into the break with a 2-0 lead.

Jeans Odgaard then made it 3-0 on 87 minute before Ejuke was replaced to a standing ovation deep into stoppage time as Heerenveen moved up to 10th on the log with 10 points from 8 games.
