Super Eagles left-back, Jamilu Collins scored his first-ever Bundesliga goal for newcomers SC Paderborn as they lost 3-2 at home to defending champions Bayern Munich, AOIFootball.com reports.
The 25-year-old started his sixth consecutive game as Paderborn went in search of their first win of the season with just a solitary point.
A premier league combination of Serge Gnabry and Philippe Coutinho put the Bavarians ahead on 15 minute with the former Arsenal striker making it 1-0.
Both players then combined again to make it 2-0 on the 55th minute with Philippe Coutinho stabbing home before Kai Proger pulled one back for the hosts on the 68th minute.
Robert Lewandowski then restored the two-goal margin when he made it 3-1 on 79th minute before Collins set up a nervy finish when he shot from 35 yards to beat Manuel Neuer for 3-2.
Bayern however held on for all three points and maintain their lead on the summit of the Bundesliga with Paderborn remaining last after failing to win any of their six league games.
Despite his side’s loss, the impressive Collins still earned a game rating of 7.8, making 3 clearances, 1 interception and also making 4 key tackles. He also won all 7 of his duels whilst also completing 100% of his dribbles.
