Top European clubs have made contact to sign out-of-favour Monaco winger, Henry Onyekuru in the winter transfer window, can exclusively confirm.

The 22-year-old has found game time hard to come by since the club switched to a 3-5-2 formation and it now appears that the Nigerian could fancy his chances of moving elsewhere to get regular playing time.

A source close to the player told authoritatively that a host of clubs who have been monitoring his situation at As Monaco and have signified interest to land the Nigerian.

“I think the situation for him in France is a bit clear; he had a little injury but on his return there was a switch of tactics by the coach which somehow doesn’t favour Onyekuru.

“He is young and wants to play, so I think he will assess his options during the winter and a possible loan move could be on the cards if the situation doesn’t change soonest,” the source confirmed.

The Eagles winger joined Monaco from Premier League side Everton in the summer but has just been reduced to two starts all season and was not even introduced in their last two league games which has now prompted him to consider his future at the club.

Galatasaray will however be happy to take the Nigerian back in January having also suffered to effectively replace him as they have struggled in the league this term despite the signing of Radamel Falcao.
