Super Eagles stand-in captain Williams Troost-Ekong has showered encomiums on the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation for arranging the high profile international friendly against Brazil which he described as a good test for the team, reports.

Glasgow Rangers midfielder, Joe Aribo gave the Super Eagles the lead on the 35th min before Brazil rallied back when Real Madrid’s Casemiro equalised from a rebound.

Celebrating the high profile friendly, Ekong wrote via his Twitter handle:

“Thanks to @thenff and our President @PinnickAmaju for organising this good test against Brazil last night. The future of this young team is bright. I thank everyone for supporting us”.

The Nigerian team will regroup in November as the qualifiers for the 2021 AfCON kicks off with a game against Benin Republican billed to be staged at the Sam Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin.
