The leadership of the Nigerian Football Federation has expressed confidence in the ability of the Super Eagles B team to overturn their 4-1 loss to Togo in the 2nd leg final round of the 2020 CHAN qualifiers slated for this weekend in Lagos, reports.

General Secretary of the NFF Dr. Sanusi Mohammed who was reacting to questions from journalists in Abuja, stated that the federation have put everything in place for the team to have a successful outing whilst also urging Nigerians to go down on their knees and pray for the Eagles.

“The preparations are on, the coaches are doing their job and we the administrators are also doing our job. On our part as administrators we are saddled with the responsibility of making sure that all the logistics for the game are available and we are working towards that.

“I want Nigerians to be optimistic rather than to be pessimistic, let us just ensure we do all to make sure we qualify. So with hard work I believe we can do it because losing should not be on the cards for us,” Dr Sanusi concluded.

Having suffered an embarrassing 4-1 loss in Lome last month, the Imama Amapakabo led boys must now ensure they score 3 unreplied goals to enable them fly past the Hawks of Togo and book their place in next year’s championship.
