Super Eagles midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo has praised the effort of his teammates following their impressive 2-0 victory on Saturday at home to Fulham, AOIFootball.com reports.
The 23-year-old returned to action after missing Nigeria’s clash against Brazil due to visa issues and was duly handed his 10th league start by Coach Nathan Jones who was desperate to turn the fortunes of the bottom based club.
Young forward Tyrese Campbell put the hosts in front on the 18th minute before Lee Gregory ensured the points were safe as he made it 2-0 from the spot to earn Stoke just their second win of the season.
“Another 3 points. Well done lads and thanks to all the amazing fans of City for their support,” Etebo posted afterwards.
The Nigerian was ever present in the heart of the midfield, posting a very impressive performance high of 94% of his passes whilst also adding his quota defensively.
The win moves Stoke City off the bottom as they now stay in 23rd place with 8 points away from safety.
