Super Eagles left-back Jamilu Collins was at his best for Paderborn as they earned their first Bundesliga win of the season following their 2-0 win over Fortuna Düsseldorf, reports.

The 25-year-old returned to the starting XI having sat out last weekend’s loss to FC Koln with the hosts hoping to please their over 14,000 Paderborn fans present at the Benteler-Arena.

With both sides almost certain to go into the break level, German midfielder Abdelhamid Sabiri broke the deadlock on the 43rd minute as he showed composure to finish off an assist from Kai Proger to make it 1-0.

Centre back Sebastian Schonlau then ensured the points were safe when he headed home from another Kai Proger cross to seal all three points for the hosts.

Collins, who was on from start to finish, had a good game rating of 6.9, made 7 clearances, 2 blocked shots, 3 interceptions and 3 key tackles.

The result however sees Paderborn remain rooted to the foot of the table with just 4 points from their opening nine league games.
