The camp of the Super Eagles came to full life on Monday evening with no fewer than 14 of the 23 invited players taking to the pitch in preparation for Wednesday’s 2021 AFCON qualifiers against Benin Republic, reports.


Having opened camp officially on Sunday night, Head Coach Gernot Rohr had the compliment of team captain Ahmed Musa who led the other 13 players to training.


Similarly, the Franco-German tactician has handed fresh call up to Enyimba left-back Ifeanyi Anaemena who comes in for fellow Bryan Idowu who pulled out of the tie after failing to secure his travel documents.


The Eagles are however expected to hold one more training session on Tuesday with the full squad as nine other players arrive the camp latest before noon on Tuesday.


Nigeria begins the quest to reach the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon with a home tie against Benin Republic before also traveling to Maseru four days later to take on Lesotho on matchday 2 of the qualifiers.
