Former Super Eagles attacker, Michael Babatunde continued his fantastic start to the Moroccan Botola League on Wednesday night as he scored twice to help Wydad Athletic Club to a comprehensive 4-0 win away at Olympique Khouribga, reports.

Having come off the bench in their disappointing Champions League goalless draw at home to Memelodi Sundowns last the weekend, the 26-year-old returned to the starting XI with the visitors hoping to close the gap on early leaders Tètouan.

The Nigerian, however, needed just 5 minutes to put his side ahead when he reacted quickest to head home from a corner to net his 3rd league goal of the campaign.

His goal however opened up the floodgates as Badr Gaddarine put Wydad 2-0 up with a sumptuous free-kick on 13 minutes before Ismail El Haddad made it 3-0 two minutes later as the visitors went into the break with a comfortable lead.

Babatunde then rounded up the scoring with a powerful finish in the 76th minute as he claimed his second of the clash and his 4th of the season.

The win now sees Wydad stay in 3rd position with 13 points after winning 4 and drawing 1 of their opening league games.
