Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon has continued to be the driving force for European football chasers FC Nantes as he provided yet another assist to help them to a 1-0 win away at Nimes Olympique, reports.

The Levante of Spain loanee started his 15th league clash of the season with Nantes hoping to close the gap on third-place Lille who had won at home to Montpellier 24 hours earlier.

The 24-year-old was however decisive in the game’s only goal on the 28th minute when he wriggled he way down the left flank before squaring the ball for Imran Louza who made no mistake as to rifle home from the edge of the box to put the visitors 1-0 up.

The goal, however, brought out the best of the hosts who were hoping to improve on their current position of 19th but despite dominating the second half, Nantes stood firm as to claim their 9th league win of the campaign.

Simon, who was booked in the second half, featured for the entire match duration, earning a game rating of 6.9, completed 83% of his passes, made one key pass and also had one goal-bound effort blocked.

The Nigerian has now played a key role in all of his side’s last three victories to take his assists tally to five in all competitions, with five goals.
