Super Eagles hopeful, Cyriel Dessers was the hero for Dutch side Heracles Almelo after he scored one and assisted another to help them reach the round of 16 of the KNVB Beker in their 3-0 win over FC Dordrecht, AOIFootball.com reports.
The 25-year-old forward, who has stated that he would like to play for Nigeria in the future, led the line for the hosts who went into the clash as clear favourites.
The Belgian born forward needed just 17 minutes to put his side ahead after he connected with a pass from Dabney Dos Santos to grab his 3rd goal of the competition and put Heracles 1-0 up.
Sylvester Van de Water then doubled the host lead 5 minutes after the break before Cyriel turned provider for Tim Breukers four minutes from time to complete a comprehensive 3-0 win.
He has now scored 14 goals in 19 matches this season whilst also adding 6 assists to his name.
