Nigeria’s Joe Aribo scored his second league goal of the campaign to help second-placed Glasgow Rangers close the gap on leaders Celtic to 2 points after triumphing 3-0 away at Hibernian, reports.


Having impressed in last week’s 2-0 win over Motherwell, the 23-year-old was pushed up front as he led the line alongside Jermaine Dafoe and Ryan Kent.


It took the visitors just four minutes to take the lead when the ever-lively Aribo charged down the Hibernian goalkeeper before his attempted clearance fell to the foot of Ryan Kent who made no mistake by slotting into an empty net.


The goalscorer then turned provider 4 minutes later when his amazing run on the flank saw him set up Aribo with the Nigerian unleashing a powerful strike to make it 2-0.


Veteran striker Dafoe then ensured the result was beyond the hosts 8 minutes after the break when he sealed the 3-0 win as they recorded their 14th win of the campaign to stay on 44 points from 17 games.
