Super Eagles defender, Jamilu Collins was once again at his commanding best for Bundesliga strugglers SC Paderborn as he helped set up one of the goals to inspire them to a morale boosting 2-1 win at home to Eintracht Frankfurt, reports.

With just two wins in their opening 16 top-flight fixtures, the newly promoted outfit was hoping to end a difficult year on a high, with Collins maintaining his position in the squad for his 16th game of the campaign.

It, however, took the Nigerian just nine minutes to set up the opening goal as he charged down the left flank before exchanging passes with midfielder Abdelhamid Sabiri who unleashed a spectacular strike to beat the goalkeeper and put Paderborn 1-0 up.

The hosts then went on to double their lead just before half time when center-back Sebastian Schonlau headed home from a corner to give Paderborn a 2-0 half time lead.

Veteran striker Bas Dost then ensured a nervy end to the match when he reduced the deficit in the second half but the hosts held on to claim just their third win of the campaign but they still remain bottom after the half way mark of the season.

Collins, 25, finished with a game rating of 6.7, made 3 clearances, 2 interceptions and also 3 key tackles in the clash.
