Nigerian international Olanrewaju Kayode completed a dream December for Turkish Club Gaziantep FK as he scored for the 3rd straight league game to propel them to a 1-1 draw at home to Yeni Melatayaspor to end the year in the top half of the table, reports. 


With 4 goals and 2 assists in his last two league fixtures, the former Manchester City striker started his 13th league game of the campaign with the host hoping to get a win to leapfrog their visitors in the log standings. 


The Nigerian however needed just 21 minutes to net his 8th goal of the campaign as he finished off a fantastic team move to put his side 1-0 up a lead they held going into the half time break. 


Guray Vural then saw red for the host with his second yellow card three minutes after the restart with Congolese midfielder Thievy Bifouma making the most of their numerical advantage as he equalized 12 minutes from time as both teams shared the points. 


The strike means Kayode finished the month as one of the most lethal forwards in the Turkish league as he scored 6 goals and 2 assists in 5 matches to steer his side away from relegation having struggled in the bottom half of the table in the early part of the season.
