Super Eagles forward, Henry Onyekuru is set to become the latest Eagle to move in the January transfer window after arriving the Turkish city of Istanbul on Saturday morning to seal a loan deal with champions Galatasaray till the end of the season, reports.

Having been restricted to minimal appearance at French club Monaco following a big-money move from Everton last summer, the 22-year-old’s quest for regular playtime and a return to the National team motivated his move back to Turk Telkom Stadium.

The 22-year-old is expected to earn around €2 million from the switch which also has an option to buy at the end of the campaign with both clubs hoping to reach an agreement of around €30 million.

Onyekuru becomes the second signing of Galatasaray who have also completed the loan acquisition of Marcelo Saracchi from RB Leipzig.

The Nigerian scored 16 goals last term for Galatasaray as they went on to complete a historic domestic double and will no doubt become the fans’ favourite once again, especially with the love he received from head coach Fatih Terim who continues to speak highly of him.
