Super Eagles midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo is beaming with excitement after finally sealing a loan move to Spanish side Getafe for the rest of the season, reports.

Etebo, who was officially unveiled by the club on Wednesday after a little delay, told exclusively from his new base in Madrid, that he was finally excited to be at the club whilst also promising to hit the ground running.

“I’m excited to be here. It’s a new challenge for me and I’m 100% ready for it. The club has shown me their delight in finally bringing me here since last summer so it is a good thing for both parties,” Etebo said.

Having previously played in the Spanish LaLiga with Las Palmas, the 24-year-old added that although it is a familiar terrain, he believes it will be a different ball game entirely with Getafe fighting up the table as against when he was at Las Palmas.

The Nigerian becomes the club’s third loan signing of the winter after the acquisition of Kennedy from Chelsea and Jason from Valencia.

His immediate target will be to help the club finish strong in the Spanish LaLiga as well as try to book a place in next season’s Europa League.
