The Confederation of African Football has confirmed that the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations billed to be staged in Cameroon will take place from 9th January to 6th February, reports.

Initially, CAF changed the usual date which has always been between January to February to align with the European calendar which was June to July and Egypt hosted the first edition after the change in date in 2019 but that will change now as the weather conditions in the West African region is the major reason CAF has hinged its decision on.

The qualification series for the tournament continues in August 2020.
