Former Super Eagles striker, Anthony Nwakaeme produced a man of the match display in the colours of Trabzonspor on Sunday when he scored twice and set up another to inspire his side to a devastating 6-0 thrashing of Kasimpasa, reports.

In what was the first league game since the winter break, the big striker started his 18th league game of the campaign with former Eagles skipper Mikel Obi also starting in the heart of the midfield.

It, however, took the hosts 25 minutes to get into gear when Jose Sosa put them ahead for 1-0 before Alexander Sørloth made it 2-0 two minutes later after being set up by João Pereira.

Nwakaeme then made it 3-0 just before the half-hour mark when he rifled home from the edge of the box to notch up his 6th league goal of the campaign and put his side in the driving seat going into the break.

The Nigerian then set up Sørloth for 4-0 ten minutes after the restart before he then completed his brace on 83 minutes to put Trabzonspor 5-0 up.

The hosts will, however, go on to complete a perfect six when striker Alexander Sørloth grabbed his hat-trick two minutes from time with Trabzonspor stretching their unbeaten run in all competitions to 6 games.

The win still leaves the Trabzon based club in 3rd position as they now have 35 points from 18 points, 5 points behind leaders Sivasspor.
