Nigerian international, Stephen Eze has become the latest Eagle to move in the winter transfer market after he joined Kazakhstan Premier League side FC Tobol on a free transfer, reports.


The 25-year-old 6ft tall defender becomes the club’s 8th signing of the winter break as they intensify preparation for the new season which begins in March.


The former Lobi Stars defender immediately took to the social media to express his delight, saying he is already looking forward to the new season in Kazakhstan.


“Excited to be joining FC Tobo, one of the top premier league teams in Kazakhstan. I’m motivated and looking forward to bringing all my experiences and energy to help my team finish top of the table!


“I wish to thank God for his mercies and a special thanks to my agent and management team for making this happen. I pray for a good year ahead and as always, your support will keep me going. I dedicate this to my mom, whose presence I miss every day and whose prayers have taken me this far ahead. Love you always, mama,” Eze said.


The former CHAN Eagles defender made 59 appearances for Lokomotiv Plovdiv in his two-year stay in Bulgaria, leading the club to lift the 2018/2019 Bulgarian Cup.
