Super Eagles’ Chidozie Awaziem has said he will continue to work hard in the colours of Spanish side Leganes after helping them to an impressive draw away at Atletico Madrid, reports.
Speaking ahead of their crunch Copa del Rey clash away at Barcelona, the on-loan Porto defender told exclusively that giving his best for the Los Pepineros also helps him grow as a player.
“I think I have put in a great effort because the team needs it and also I need it in my career. The Spanish League is one of the best in the world so you have to give your best to win games and also earn points.
“Giving my best for Leganes will also help improve my game as a footballer so I have to give my best any day, any time,” Awaziem said.
When asked about his side’s chances against struggling Barcelona in the Round of 16 of the Cup, the former Nantes player said they must be at their best to cause a major upset against their more fancied hosts.
