Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr has expressed his delight following the return to action of right-back Tyronne Ebuehi after a lengthy spell on the sidelines, reports.

The Eagles gaffer, who disclosed this much to exclusively from his base, stated that he hopes to now see him play regularly for the remainder of the season.

“We are happy with the comeback of Ebuehi, he is back now with the Benfica first team. We were expecting it and we hope to see him soon again.

“We’ve missed him for a long time and if he is playing regularly, of course, he has all the chances to come back with the Super Eagles,” Rohr said.

Ebuehi 24, has had a difficult spell with injuries since joining Benfica on a free from ADO Den Haag in July 2018 with the player missing the entire 2018/2019 season after picking up an injury in pre-season.

He was however on the bench for Nigeria last October in Singapore when the Eagles faced Brazil in a friendly match but must now step up his recovery after featuring for the Benfica B side four times in the last one month.
