Former Super Eagles striker, Anthony Nwakaeme made a scoring return for giants Trabzonspor and made one assist to help them to a 5-0 win over BB Erzurumspor in their first leg quarterfinals clash of the Turkish Cup, reports.

Having missed their 2-1 win over Fenerbahce last weekend through suspension, the 30-year-old returned to the starting XI with the host-seeking to extend their unbeaten run to 9 games in all competitions.

Alexander Sørloth opened the scoring for the host on 16 minutes before an own goal from Yusuf Acer put Trabzonspor 2-0 up.

Nwakeame then made it 3-0 two minutes before half time when he found the net with an emphatic finish before another own goal from Merthan Acil added more glamour to the score line.

The Nigerian then set up Alexander Sørloth six minutes after the hour mark as they completed a 5-0 win to put one foot into the semifinals.
