Former England youth international, Chuba Akpom was the star man for Greece side PAOK as he scored twice in the second half to help them to a comprehensive 4-0 win over OFI Crete to keep the pressure on league leaders Olympiacos, reports.

The 24-year-old Eagles hopeful started his 6th league game of the campaign with Eagles midfielder Anderson Esiti also lining up in the midfield for the host.

But after a goalless first 45 minutes, the flood gates of goals opened up when Akpom put his side ahead on 50 minutes when he reacted quickest to tuck home from close range after Diego Biseswar’s initial penalty was saved by the goalkeeper.

Akpom then made it 2-0 ten minutes later when he scored from the spot to net his 6th goal of the campaign with further goals from Lazaros Lamprou and Douglas Augusto sealing a comfortable 4-0 win.

The win now sees PAOK stay just two points behind Olympiacos with 3 games left in the regular season as they seek to defend the league title they won last season.
