Nigerian international, Simy Nwankwo is upbeat his side is now fully focused on gaining promotion back into the Serie A after returning to winning ways at the weekend, reports.


The 27-year-old was the hero for his side on Saturday as be popped up the winner to end their two games losing streak and moved them back to second on the log, with Simy describing the victory as a morale booster.


The four-times capped Eagle further told that it has been a tough season for both him and the club but they now look forward to a good ending.


“Its been a good season with some ups and downs, but we are looking forward to a better finish,” Simy said.


The former Portimonense striker has scored 10 goals and added 3 assists in 22 league games this campaign and looks set to surpass the 14 he scored last season with Crotone hoping to end their two-year stay in the Serie B.
