Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr has thanked his immediate past assistant coach, Imama Amapakabo for his dedicated service during their time together after the former Enugu Rangers coach was relieved of his duties, reports.  


The Franco-German, who disclosed this much to in an exclusive chat, further stated that he is happy with the appointment of a legend like Yobo and will definitely be open to working with the former Eagles skipper. 


“I want to thank Imama for the good work he did in our staff during his time with the team. He was a very dedicated professional and gave his best to the team during his stay with us and also did well with the other national teams. 


I’m happy that a great former player will join us and we will help him to learn the job,” Rohr said on Yobo’s appointment as his assistant. 


During his time with the national team, the 2017 NPFL winning coach helped the Super Eagles qualify for the 2018 Word Cup in Brazil and also sat next to Rohr in Egypt as they led the youngest Nigerian side to the AFCON to a bronze medal finish.
