Nigerian International Chidera Ejuke continued hos fine form in front of goal for Dutch side Heerenveen as he was on target for the visitors in their 4-2 loss away at Vitesse to record his 8th league goal of the campaign, reports.


The 22-year-old former Gombe United winger started his 21st league game of the campaign with the visitors hoping to put an end to their abysmal run of form having failed to win in any of their last 4 matches.


The run did, however, continue when the host scored twice in quick succession with strikes from Bryan Linssen and Tim Matavz putting Vitesse 2-0 up in the opening quarter of an hour.


Rodney Kongolo, however, pulled one back for Heerenveen on 28 minute before Ejuke leveled matters four minutes after the half-hour mark with both teams going into the break level in what was a breathtaking first half which 4 goals in 24 minutes.


The host did, however, go on to have the last laugh when a strike from Bryan Linssen 56, and another penalty from Oussama Tannane sealed a 4-2 victory for Vitesse.


Ejuke who was on for the entire match duration finished the game with a rating of 7.6, completing 9 of his 14 dribbles, winning 10 duels and also completing 81% of his passes attempted.
