It was a good day for Nigerian duo of Anthony Okpotu and Kingsley Eduwo who both lit up the Tunisian Ligue 1 with goals to help their respective clubs to morale-boosting wins on Matchday 16, reports.


Anthony Okpotu: The former NPFL goal king was the match hero for traveling US Monastir as they ended a run of 3 consecutive losses following their 4-0 win away at Stade Tunisien.


Ali Aamir opened the scoring for the Visitors on 9 minutes before Okpotu doubled their tally on 36 minutes for 2-0 with the former Lobi forward completing his brace in first-half injury time as Monastir went 3-0 up into break.


Yassine Amri then completed the scoring before Okpotu was replaced to a standing ovation having now taken his tally for the season to 10 goals.


Kingsley Eduwo: The former Sunshine Stars forward opened scoring high flyers CS Sfaxien as they stretched their unbeaten run to 6 games following their 2-1 win over JS Kairouanaise.


The win lifts Sfaxien to second on the table with 34 points as they remain 10 points behind leaders Esperance.
