Girondins Bordeaux winger, Samuel Kalu has said he is delighted to be back to the pitch after a nagging knee injury kept in out for over a month.

The former KAA Gent player featured all 90 minutes in his side’s 4-3 away loss at the Parc Des Princes against table toppers, Paris Saint Germain and showed a glimpse of his skillful self in the game and would have worn a smile if his team had left with a point at the end of proceedings.

Speaking exclusively to, Kalu expressed excitement having missed action for a while, positing further that with just a few more games, he would be back at his utmost best.

“I’m glad to be back on my feet and on the pitch. I’m also happy to be back with the team,” he said.

The Super Eagles winger, whose timely comeback will be a delight to Coach Gernot Rohr, is optimistic Bordeaux’s fortune will improve.

Girondins Bordeaux is currently 12th on the log of Ligue 1.
