It was a mixed afternoon for Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun who produced a wonderful performance in the colors of Wigan Athletic as they ended West Bromwich Albion’s unbeaten run, whilst Bright Osayi-Samuel helped rescue a point for QPR, reports.

Semi Ajayi and Leon Balogun: Both center-backs went head to head for their respective clubs with records to preserve but it was Balogun who came out tops as his Wigan side ended the 16-game unbeaten run of West Bromwich Albion to move out of the relegation zone.

Balogun who was replaced on 69th minute after picking up a knock has now recorded 3 wins and 2 draws in his 5 outings since making the deadline day loan switch from Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion.

Ajayi and his West Brom side however still maintain their lead at the summit of the table but are now one point better than second-place Leeds who were victorious away at Hull City.

Eberechi Eze and Bright Osayi-Samuel: Nigeria’s Bright Osayi-Samuel grabbed his 5th assist of the campaign when he set up Jordan Hill to put QPR 2-1 before they were pegged back to draw 2-2 at home to Birmingham City.

Eberechi Eze was also on parade for the host as he continued his impressive performance in the heart of the midfield for the host who missed the chance to move up the table to remain on 14th position.

Tosin Adarabiyo: The on-loan Manchester City youngster was the hero for Blackburn Rovers as he helped them keep their playoff hopes alive when he set up the equalizer for Bradley Johnson deep into stoppage time to seal a 2-2 draw at home to Swansea City.
